Easter Letter

Christ is Risen! Christ is Risen indeed! Alleluia, Amen.

On Sunday, April 17th, we will again share in this ancient Easter acclamation.

The hope we have in Christ is a comfort in the midst of all that is happening in the world. In life, in death, in life beyond death, we are not alone.  Christ is with us offering us hope, peace, and understanding.  Being in relationship with Jesus, in worship, prayer, and service, is what keeps us grounded and hopeful in such a time as this.

We invite you to make a special Easter gift to the Church.  This year has been difficult in many ways, and your gift will enable us to grow stronger in living our vision Embracing Community in Harmony with God.   You may use the offering envelopes in the sanctuary, mail an offering to the church, or go to our online giving at this link: https://onrealm.org/wesleyumcdover/-/give/now
You can also find this by going to our website, www.wesleyumc-dover.com and clicking on Giving at the top of the page.

Easter worship will be in the sanctuary this year, with special accompaniment by the string quartet. Becky Davis, our music director, has amazing music planned.  We will baptize Sarah Morris, daughter of Michael and Amy Morris, granddaughter of Brian and Linda Wasko and Pete and Suzanne Morris.

There will be a family life Easter event on Saturday April 16th! The Easter Bunny cutout will be on hand for picture taking and goody bags for the children.

Please invite friends and family to the Easter Egg Hunt and to worship.

For Holy Week worship, we will be at Christ Episcopal Church at 7:00 pm for Maundy Thursday, April 14th.  Also, the preschool is having a special Easter program on Thursday at 6:00 pm in Grace Fellowship Hall.  Good Friday way of the cross walk begins at noon at Christ Episcopal. You are invited to walk or to meet us on State Street at the front door of Wesley for prayer.

Thank you for your generosity in making a special offering.

Striving to be faithful,

Pastor Amy Yarnall
